About

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council awarded a contract to Aspinall Verdi Limited for the commission of a Viability and Delivery Study to support the preparation of the emerging Black Country Plan (BCP) for the four Black Country Authorities of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, and Wolverhampton.

The study provided evidence that the policies are realistic and do not undermine the delivery of the plan, in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), and helped identify housing and employment sites capable of being delivered within the Plan period.

The overarching objective was to provide a robust evidence base for councillors to make informed decisions regarding site allocations, with paramount importance given to the protection of Green Belt.

The contract value was £66,297.14.
