About

Warwickshire County Council awarded a contract to National Schizophrenia Fellowship (operating as Rethink Mental Illness) for the Mental Health Employment Support Service, valued at £1,009,518.

The service adopts best practice in supported employment, with a strong focus on Individual Placement and Support (IPS) principles.

It targets adults of working age, and may also support young people under 18 who are receiving treatment from secondary care mental health services and preparing to transition to work.

The service is expected to be 80% focused on helping individuals achieve and maintain paid employment, with 20% providing targeted support to employers and individuals already in work to retain employment.

The Council was to submit an application for ESF matched funding, which could increase funding available to the provider by up to 80% to support people into paid work.
