About
Staffordshire County Council awarded a contract to Action for Children Services Limited, Caudwell Children, Chase Aqua Rural Enterprise CIC, Chuckle Productions Limited, Doves Care & Support Ltd, Gartmore Riding School, Let Us Play (Wolverhampton), and Sherratts for the provision of short break activities and support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Staffordshire.
The contract, valued at £240,000, covers the delivery of a range of indoor and outdoor activities during term time and holiday periods, designed to be meaningful, age-appropriate, and supportive of independence, well-being, and preparation for adulthood.
Providers are required to comply with relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice 2015, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Children and Families Act 2014, and the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012.
The service emphasizes community inclusion, partnership working with families and professionals, and flexibility to address gaps in provision, with particular interest in rural areas and support for complex needs.
