About

BRACKNELL FOREST COUNCIL awarded a contract to Solutions 4 Health for a child healthy lifestyle and weight management service on behalf of Wokingham, West Berkshire, Reading and Slough local authorities.

The service provides an evidence-based, accessible weight management and healthy lifestyle programme for overweight or obese children and their families, specifically young people aged 7–12 years in Berkshire, aiming for sustained long-term movement towards and maintenance of a healthier weight.

The programme is estimated to serve circa 200 children and families per annum, with 10–15 children per course, and excludes children from Berkshire East schools (excluding Slough) and those outside the age range.

The contract value is approximately £60,000 per annum (£64,000), with a maximum duration of five years covering an initial three-year period plus two optional one-year extensions (3 + 1 + 1).
