Award of Alternative Education Provision Framework to Multiple Suppliers by London Borough of Croydon
Awarded 31 Aug 2016
About
London Borough of Croydon awarded a contract to CACFO UK, Catch22, Educational Excellence and Wellbeing, Fresh Start, Harris Federation, Just Learn Limited, Let Me Play, Play Place, R2S, RISE, Shaftesbury Young People, and The Write Time for Alternative Education Provision.
The framework, valued at £4,000,000, supports learners in Key Stages 3 and 4 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from school, offering full-time (25 hours) or part-time provision to enable academic achievement and progression to post-16 pathways.
Key Stage 3 providers deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for reintegration into mainstream schools, while Key Stage 4 providers offer academic and/or vocational pathways.
All full-time providers must offer qualifications in English and mathematics up to Level 2 and be Ofsted registered.
The framework runs for three years from September 2016, with a possible one-year extension, and aims to improve educational attainment, narrow the attainment gap for vulnerable children, and increase the proportion of 16-18 year olds in education, employment, and training.
