Bristol City Council is seeking a supplier for a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to provide waking watch fire patrol services. A waking watch is a fire safety system where suitably trained staff continually patrol the floors and the exterior perimeter of a building to maintain occupant safety and provide sufficient warning to support evacuation. This service is required when fire safety issues change a building's evacuation policy from 'stay put' to simultaneous evacuation and involves patrolling 24 hours a day looking for signs of fire. The DPS is intended to be published in the week beginning 12 December 2022, with the first round closing on 9 January 2023 and an urgent need for a first call-off by the end of January 2023; further opportunities to join the DPS will be available after the first round closes.
