Medway Council and Gravesham Council are seeking a supplier for the provision and servicing of textile and shoe recycling banks at Recycling Points on council-owned car parks/sites and at pre-agreed privately owned sites with permission. The supplier must supply textile/shoe banks, empty banks at a frequency that prevents them becoming full or overflowing (at least once a week), remove any excess textile/shoe waste found around banks during emptying, provide monthly tonnage reports for each site to the relevant council, pay an agreed rate per tonne to the relevant council on receipt of the monthly tonnage report, and maintain the textile banks to a high standard in line with Health and Safety regulations. The contract is anticipated to commence 1 October 2026 for an initial 12 months, with an option to extend for a further 12 months after a 6-month review and an additional option to extend for a further 2 years thereafter unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.
