Tender: Supply of 477 Tonnes of Lead Ballast Blocks for RRS Sir David Attenborough
Released 11 months ago
About
RRS Sir David Attenborough is seeking a supplier to provide 477 tonnes of lead ballast in man-handleable blocks to be inserted into a specially designed void within the aft peak ballast tank to correct the ship's heavy bow caused by ice strengthening. The lead must be protected to prevent noise and vibration transmitting through the hull that would interfere with the vessel's acoustic equipment and create vibration.
