Contracting authority is seeking a supplier for the design, supply, installation and maintenance of rail carriage lifting jacks capable of lifting bodies and bogies of the new Enterprise Fleet by their lifting pads to allow bogies or other underframe equipment to be changed out. Delivery of the lifting jacks is to Belfast and the installation site is within an existing facility at York Road Maintenance Depot (Running Shed), 1 York Road, Belfast, BT15 3RP. The successful tenderer must collaborate and coordinate with the designer and principal contractor responsible for the overall delivery of the NIR Facilities improvement works at York Road, complete a mandatory site visit no later than two weeks prior to the submission date, and submit their response via the relevant Call for Tender on the eTendersNI portal (instructions are provided in the Interactive Walkthrough on the eTendersNI homepage); no other submission method will be accepted.

This opportunity is likely valuable for specialist rail equipment suppliers and installation contractors with experience delivering lifting systems and working within existing rail facilities. Key considerations include the mandatory pre-submission site visit, the requirement to coordinate closely with the project designer and principal contractor, and potential access, space or scheduling constraints due to installation inside an existing depot; submissions must be made via the eTendersNI CfT only.
