The Water Management Alliance (WMA) is seeking a supplier for the design, manufacture, fabrication, supply and delivery of suspended bowl pumps for the Mautby Water Level Management Improvements (WLMI) project, with an option to award an additional contract for a similar Stokesby WLMI pumping station within 12–24 months of the Contract Date. The contract value is estimated at £500,000–£625,000 for the initial site with up to a further £500,000–£625,000 for the optional additional site, figures exclusive of VAT. Required pumps must offer high efficiency, low maintenance, and deliver a broad range of flow rates at their design head while providing safe passage for eels and fish through a Best Achievable Eel Protection (BAEP) solution that reduces killing and injury and improves downstream passage. The supplier must also provide design, testing and the information required for the Health and Safety File and an Operations and Maintenance Manual; the WMA will oversee the procurement on behalf of the Broads Internal Drainage Board with Turner & Townsend as advisors.
