About

The council is seeking two contractors to deliver specialist adaptations, including installations and repairs, for residents with vulnerabilities and disabilities in council-owned homes across the borough. The council, landlord to around 35,000 tenants, will assign works based on recommendations from the Occupational Therapy Team and on-site surveys and specialist scale drawings produced by the Adaptations Team within the Repairs service. Contracts are expected to start in July 2026 with an initial 24-month term and an option to extend for a further 24 months (maximum extension per occasion 12 months), works will not be divided into lots and will be issued evenly on an alternate basis between the two contractors and monitored via IT systems.
