Tender: Residential EV Charging Concession Contract (15-year) – Milton Keynes (Blue & Green Lots)
Released 8 months ago
About
Milton Keynes City Council is seeking a supplier for a 15-year concession contract to deliver residential on-street EV charging infrastructure across two geographically split lots (Blue and Green). The Council has been allocated £1.442M OZEV LEVI capital funding to support delivery alongside private sector funding, targeting around 101 charge points per lot (approximately 202 charging sockets per lot) with locality assessments for a mix of 7–22 kW and 50 kW chargers. From June 2029 the contracts will also include the transition of all Milton Keynes City Council’s existing residential charge points within the localities of each lot.
This opportunity could be valuable for EV charging infrastructure providers and operators who can work with OZEV LEVI grant funding plus private investment; key considerations include delivering the specified mix of 7–22 kW and 50 kW units to meet ~101 charge points (~202 sockets) per lot across geographically split lots, and planning for the contractual transition of existing Milton Keynes residential charge points from June 2029 under a 15-year concession.
