The Low Pay Commission (LPC) is seeking researchers to deliver new or innovative one-year research projects into the impacts of the National Living Wage (NLW) and the National Minimum Wage (NMW). Projects must deliver results by September 2027 with a final report due in November 2027. The research should fill gaps in understanding the effects of recent minimum wage increases, particularly since 2019, and may make use of new data sources and data-linking approaches where appropriate in light of pandemic-related disruption to traditional data. Up to three projects will be funded, with a maximum budget of £60,000 excluding VAT (£75,000 including VAT) per project, though smaller projects are welcome. Complete tenders must address the three quality criteria (understanding the requirements and context A01, methodology and approach A02, and ability to deliver A03), include a detailed pricing schedule and the required commercial documents as set out in the Invitation to Tender.
