Tender: Regional Pilot Grant for Impact-Based Forecast Tools and Early Warning Systems — Western Africa (SEWA Regional Pilots)

About

ECMWF is inviting applicants to co-create a regional pilot demonstrator for Western Africa that embeds pre-operational impact-based forecast (IbF) tools and services into early warning workflows under the SEWA Regional Pilots Call. The action is part of Strengthening Early Warning in Africa (SEWA), an Africa–EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP) initiative funded by the EU’s NDICI–Global Europe instrument, and implemented by ECMWF under Contribution Agreement 700002511. Four grants will be awarded in total—one for each Sub-Saharan Africa region (Western, Central, Eastern, and Southern including the Indian Ocean Islands)—and applicants should apply via the Submission Portal using the relevant regional link. Call documents include some attachments on the portal page and the full set of documents is accessible only after registering interest in the opportunity; the contact email shown is not monitored and questions must be submitted via the Portal’s Messaging area once logged in.
