About

GM Business Growth Hub (GM BGH) People team is seeking partners to create qualified, business-approved referrals into the SDS Skills Development Service, a Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) funded programme that boosts workforce and lifelong skills for individuals, volunteers and organisations across Greater Manchester through fully funded training and dedicated business support. Successful partners will generate referrals that have been qualified following discussion with the business, with verification and approval obtained prior to referral. Organisations already contracted to deliver Employer Engagement & Essential Work Skills services are not eligible. Participating client organisations can access a dedicated Organisational Development Specialist, a strategic organisational skills diagnostic, optional Individual Skills Reviews for employees, a Training & Development Summary, impartial brokerage across the skills ecosystem, and exclusive access to a £2.8 million funding pot for essential workplace skills including English, Match, Digital and ESOL. The submission deadline is 13:00pm 31st October 2025.

Insight

Ideal for organisations with strong networks across Greater Manchester businesses and communities that can pre-qualify and secure approval for referrals; key considerations include focusing on GM-based organisations and residents, meeting verification requirements, and ensuring eligibility if not currently contracted for Employer Engagement & Essential Work Skills services.
