About

Powys County Council is seeking childcare providers to join a framework agreement to deliver Welsh Government childcare for 2‑year‑olds in Powys. The programme ensures that all children aged from 2 years who are resident in Powys have access to free, high-quality childcare for up to 2.5 hours per day, for a maximum of 12.5 hours per week. The Council expects eligible children and their families to feel involved, informed, supported and empowered, with each child achieving tangible outcomes including language development, cognitive development, social and emotional development, physical health, reduced poverty and early identification of high needs. The Council intends to let the framework under Regulations 74 to 77 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (Light Touch Regime) and is awarding a framework that allows flexibility while complying with Treaty principles of transparency and equal treatment.
