North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a supplier for a one-year training programme in pregnancy bonding and attachment to strengthen relationships between parents and infants from the earliest stages of pregnancy through to the end of the first 1,001 days. The programme, with a total budget of £38,000, will form a central part of the North Northamptonshire Family Hubs model and will be delivered across four Family Hub Networks in Corby, East Northants, Kettering and Wellingborough. The training is designed for the Early Help workforce operating within the Family Hub Network, including Best Start in Life practitioners, Service Managers, Early Years Practitioners and Family Hub Connectors, and aims to build workforce capacity to promote bonding, provide evidence-based knowledge and skills to recognise, prevent and respond to perinatal mental health and bonding difficulties, create a shared language and consistent approach across the workforce, promote inclusive practice that recognises fathers, partners and diverse family structures, and contribute to delivery of the North Northamptonshire Perinatal Mental Health and Parent‑Infant Relationships Strategy (2024) by addressing a workforce development gap.
