Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a supplier for a planned and reactive maintenance framework to service its 33,000-acre farm estate, covering approximately 257 holdings occupied by 183 tenants, with 134 dwellings and over 450 buildings. The framework is split into three lots contractors may apply for: Lot 1 – general building services (including windows, doors and drain services); Lot 2 – electrical services; and Lot 3 – roller shutter door services (repair, maintenance, servicing and replacement). Small planned and reactive works will be valued up to £5,000 and include examples such as plumbing repairs (leaks, boiler breakdown), electrical faults (plug or light socket replacement, diagnostic fault finding) and small building repairs (roof leaks, rainwater goods repair/replacement). The authority expects the framework to cover the majority of minor building services, while less common, specialist or higher-value projects will be procured separately. Contractors must provide a weekday (Monday–Friday) breakdown and emergency call-out service to attend any premises in the portfolio when requested by the Contract Administrator.
