Cambourne Town Council is seeking an experienced registered Charity or Community Interest Company (CIC) to occupy and operate from its new building to deliver foodbank and/or community food distribution services. Applicants should demonstrate proven experience delivering foodbank, food distribution or wider food insecurity support; strong safeguarding, governance and operational procedures; previous work in partnership with or alongside local government authorities; the ability to operate sustainably and meet community need effectively; and a track record of partnership working with local agencies and voluntary sector organisations. Applicants must provide a minimum of two references, with preference given to organisations able to evidence prior collaboration with local authority or public sector partners. This opportunity supports the delivery of essential community services from a suitable, well-located facility within Cambourne. Interested organisations should submit an expression of interest outlining their experience, service model, and references.

This is suited to registered charities or CICs experienced in running foodbanks or community food distribution and with experience partnering with local government and voluntary sector agencies. Key considerations include providing at least two references (preference for prior public-sector collaboration), demonstrating strong safeguarding, governance and operational procedures, and showing sustainable capacity to meet local need while operating from the council’s new building.
