Hull University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a supplier to partner with an Independent Sector provider to deliver additional one-stop outpatient “triple assessment” breast clinics and symptomatic breast radiology support for the Breast Urgent Suspected Cancer (USC) pathway. The service requires delivery of two one-stop triple assessment outpatient clinics (one at Castle Hill Hospital and one at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital) providing clinical assessment, mammography and/or ultrasound imaging, and fine needle aspiration or core biopsy; each clinic must be staffed with 1 breast surgery clinician, 1 radiology clinician, 1 radiographer, 1 radiology assistant, 1 appropriate breast healthcare assistant and 1 registered nurse, and run as an all-day 25-patient session using AM and PM clinics between 08:00 and 18:00, initially arranged over weekends with potential future weekday sessions. The symptomatic breast radiology clinic support requires an appropriately qualified consultant radiologist to deliver weekday imaging and reporting (mammograms/digital tomosynthesis, breast and axilla ultrasound with biopsy and marker placement, and reporting of post-marker check mammograms) focused on patients on the consultant-led symptomatic pathway, initially for Wednesday and Thursday clinics at Castle Hill Hospital. The contract term starts 2 January and runs to the end of March 2027 with options to extend up to a further 12 months subject to demand and internal approvals.
