Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking providers to join its Specialist Education Framework as Independent Non‑Maintained Special Schools (INMSS) under Lot 2 to supply specialist school placements for pupils with Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans, including Post‑16 provision where delivered in‑house by the school. The Framework commenced on 1 January 2025 and call‑off contracts under Lot 2 began from that date; this tender reopens the INMSS Approved Provider List in the fourth round and is open only to Lot 2 applicants (Lot 1 is not re‑opened in this round). Providers unsuccessful in earlier rounds (1–3) may reapply. This phase is the first stage of the Council’s Specialist Education recommissioning, with later phases expected to cover Alternative Education Provision and other Post‑16 institutions; further procurement dates are not yet set. The multi‑provider Framework is commissioned under the Light Touch Regime (Public Contracts Regulations 2015, sections 74–77) via an open procedure, is advertised on the Find a Tender Service, and is published on https://www.eastmidstenders.org/ (Reference DN784701). There is no guarantee of work under the Framework; the tender closing date is 7 November 2025 at 5.00pm, and a 10‑day standstill period will follow contract award notification.
