Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) is seeking a supplier for planned maintenance and repairs to the Tunnel Ventilation and Controls System on the Central Section of the Elizabeth Line. RfLI, which is responsible for maintenance of the Elizabeth Line, requires upkeep of the tunnel ventilation and controls that serve 21km of twin-bore tunnels beneath central London to ensure safety, comfort and operational reliability. These systems support normal environmental management and emergency response (including smoke extraction and safe evacuation), are integrated with fire detection, and are centrally managed via an automated SCADA control platform. Regular maintenance is required to maintain reliability, safety compliance and continuity of service. The Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) identified 157 potential suppliers in categories D.E.5.1 (Fixed Ventilation Systems / Maintain) and H.L.3.1 (General Building Management / Service); a Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ) and Expression of Interest (EOI) were issued to those suppliers on 12/11/2025, interested suppliers were invited to the Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ), and the PSQ was published on 29/07/2026 with participating suppliers to be invited to the ITT.
