Dundee City Council is seeking a supplier for an investment manager to manage 50% of the Tayside Pension Fund’s opportunistic portfolio, representing circa £250–290 million and approximately 5% of the Fund’s value. The new mandate should complement an existing alternatives mandate and invest across a range of private market asset classes including private equity, private infrastructure, private debt and private real estate debt. A proportion of the assets should be invested in the UK with a focus on Scotland (investments within Scotland are anticipated to be around at least 10–20% of the total mandate), and environmental and social impact considerations are key priorities and should be taken into account.
