The Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk is seeking a contractor to install, maintain and rectify faults for its CCTV and wider electronic security systems across Norfolk. The Client operates circa 1,400 CCTV cameras from a manned 24/7 365 CCTV control room at its Kings Lynn office and also has responsibility for intruder alarms, panic systems, perimeter systems and access control systems, many of which are monitored via cameras to the control room. The primary operating platforms are Avigilon, Indigovision and Paxton, and systems are located on both Client-owned premises and third-party stakeholder sites. The Council operates a ‘Run to Fail’ maintenance strategy rather than a Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and typically swaps or replaces failed equipment. The contractor must provide a service 24 hours a day, 365(6) days a year to respond to reactive maintenance allocated by the CCTV Manager, agree and carry out pre-determined visits, hold extensive experience with Avigilon Unity Video and Indigovision Certification to install Client-supplied, pre-programmed equipment (with some larger cameras and wireless heads requiring on-site programming with Client support), and plan new installations with the CCTV Manager to ensure best fit for the install and customer.
