Cefas is seeking a supplier for hydrographic services to provide specialist technical review and quality assurance of nearshore hydrographic survey data collected by third parties under the BEEMS programme supporting Sizewell C (SZC) and Hinkley Point C (HPC). The work covers bathymetric multibeam echosounder (MBES) surveys to assess geomorphological change of nearshore bars and sandbanks (including validation of remote x-band radar measurements), seabed change in dredging areas and disposal sites, and scour around seabed infrastructure. The requirement is ongoing, with an expected increase in survey activity in 2026, SZC surveys anticipated at least quarterly through 2026, and HPC support required on an as-needed basis; schedules may change due to weather, construction and regulatory requirements and a kick-off meeting will agree anticipated work for each project. Procurement will award a Core Contract intended to deliver all contract requirements and up to two Call-Off Contracts as backups; the Core Contract is a call-off arrangement with a maximum value of £100,000 including VAT and Call-Off Contracts carry no committed value. Suppliers will be required to sign two separate short form contracts for Sizewell C and Hinkley Point C.
