About

CPI is seeking a supplier for remedial works to the dust extraction system installed in Coxon’s F0.28 laboratory during a 2025 lab refurbishment after commissioning revealed a loss of LFP powder into the extract duct. The loss of containment coincided with an over-pressurisation of the duct from a connected vac pump, which caused LFP powder to exit at several joints and contaminate the laboratory environment. CPI engaged Mechon Limited for a wider review of extract systems and Mechon produced a detailed design and specification package; this Mechon Design and Specification must be referenced and will be used to correct the loss of containment and return the F028 and F029 laboratories to service. Later works, not included in this contract, will cover non-critical long-term redesign of the system.
