Tender: Digital Post-Mortem CT Scanning Services for Norfolk Coroner's Service
Released 12 months ago
About
Norfolk County Council is seeking a supplier for digital autopsy (CT scanning) services for the Norfolk Coroner's Service in the county of Norfolk. The contract covers provision of CT scans used as a first-line, non-invasive alternative to traditional post-mortem examinations; patients are scanned via a CT scanner and the resulting images are reviewed by specially trained radiologists and coroner's pathologists to assist in ascertaining cause of death. It is anticipated that a cause of death can be established in approximately 75% of cases where patients are scanned, avoiding the need for invasive post-mortem procedures in those instances.
