The Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations to develop and deliver a new, sustainable and modern community hub for Twyford and the surrounding area following the closure of the Lady Elizabeth Day Centre at Polehampton Close, Twyford (RG10 9RP). The hub should ensure local residents, particularly people aged 65 and over, continue to have access to community-based support by providing opportunities for social connection, wellbeing, activities and community engagement while supporting prevention, independence and early help. Interested parties may include charities, voluntary and community sector organisations, community groups or other partners with the skills, experience and capacity to support local residents.

This opportunity could be valuable for charities, voluntary and community sector organisations, community groups or partner organisations experienced in delivering community-based services for older people; key considerations include the ability to design and run sustainable, modern services that maintain access after the closure of the previous centre and to deliver programmes focused on social connection, wellbeing, prevention, independence and early help.
