Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is seeking a supplier for the design, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of an internal LED planetarium dome. The Client is conducting a preliminary market engagement under a proposed Competitive Flexible Procedure pursuant to the Procurement Act 2023, using a streamlined single-stage approach that combines the Pre-Selection Questionnaire (PSQ) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) and may include an optional negotiation stage for price and commercial matters. The PME requests market intelligence, technical advice and supplier feedback via a questionnaire (refer to the project context and reference guide, pg.21). The anticipated scope covers works and services related to LED screens and audio-visual equipment, electrical and cable installation, assembly of prefabricated structures, video equipment installation, engineering design and technical testing.

This could be ideal for specialist audio-visual, electrical and engineering contractors with experience in planetarium domes and integrated AV/electrical systems. Key considerations: respondents should be prepared to provide technical input and complete the PME questionnaire, submit combined PSQ and ITT information in a single-stage process, and address an integrated scope spanning AV, electrical, structural assembly and commissioning, with the possibility of negotiation on price and commercial terms.
