The Water Management Alliance is seeking a supplier for the design, manufacture, fabrication and delivery of a high-efficiency, low-maintenance trash system for the Mautby pumping station as part of the Water Level Management Improvements (WLMI) project, with optional award for one additional similar site at Stokesby at a later date. The system must operate over a broad range of water levels, provide safe passage for eels and fish and deliver a Best Achievable Eel Protection (BAEP) solution to reduce killing and injury of fish and improve downstream passage. The procurement covers the goods (design, manufacture, fabrication and supply of the trash system) and services (design, testing and provision of information for the Health and Safety File and the Operations and Maintenance File). The initial site value is estimated at £175,000 with a further estimated £175,000 for the optional additional site, figures exclusive of VAT; the Water Management Alliance will oversee the procurement on behalf of the Broads Internal Drainage Board, with Turner & Townsend acting as advisors.
