Design tasks cover telemetry systems, external lighting, a control kiosk including HVAC, Motor Control Centre and full electrical system design including a Functional Design Specification, stop log systems and non-return/control valves, ducting and draw pit arrangements, precast concrete units and MCC support frame, together with associated civil, mechanical and electrical works, temporary works (including licences, permissions and consents), integration with existing water infrastructure, testing, commissioning, sectional completion and handover to operations. The contract value is estimated at £8–£12 million for the initial three sites with up to a further £6 million for the optional fourth site (figures exclusive of VAT) and will be funded from Environment Agency Grant in Aid; the works must ensure compliance with the Broads Internal Drainage Board statutory duties as a Section 28g body under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended). Bidders expressing interest will be invited to attend one accompanied group site visit on either Tuesday 25 November 2025 or Wednesday 26 November 2025 (attendance limited to one vehicle and a maximum of two representatives per organisation; vehicle must be a 4x4).
