Tender: Demolition and Brownfield Restoration of 33 Assets — Dhekelia & Episkopi, Cyprus
Released 16 days ago
About
Supply Chain Notice CIDP26 is seeking a contractor to carry out demolition and brownfield conversion works at Dhekelia (Minden Village, including the former Pergamos and Rhine Camp sites) and Episkopi in Cyprus. The project comprises demolition and removal of 24 assets at Minden Village, Dhekelia, and 9 building assets at Episkopi, removal of associated infrastructure and underground services, removal and appropriate management of asbestos-containing materials with temporary storage at the Transit Asbestos Compound within the EESA at Akrotiri, clearance and removal of demolition arisings, rubble, scrap and other waste materials, reinstatement and earthworks to return sites to the specified brownfield condition, and comprehensive recording and maintenance of waste and recyclable material data (including type, weight, volume and final tipping/disposal site). Contractors must ensure all demolition, waste management, asbestos-related activities, transportation, temporary storage, recycling, disposal and site reinstatement are undertaken in accordance with applicable legislation, standards, environmental requirements and project procedures. Enabling works already completed and excluded from this tender include isolation of services, asbestos demolition surveys and quantification, surveys for European Protected Species, and VAT surveys for scrap material. Provisional key dates include expression of interest in October 2026, tender return 23/11/2026, contract award 15/01/2027, commencement 18/01/2027 and completion 31/03/2027; the project currency is Euro and the locations are Dhekelia and Episkopi, Cyprus (British Forces).
This could be ideal for demolition contractors with proven asbestos removal, hazardous waste management and brownfield reinstatement experience on military sites in Cyprus. Key considerations include handling and temporary storage of asbestos at the EESA Akrotiri Transit Asbestos Compound, strict waste recording and regulatory compliance, coordination with completed enabling works that are excluded from scope, and the relatively short site delivery window from 18/01/2027 to 31/03/2027.
