Norfolk Coroner's Service is conducting preliminary market engagement for suppliers of deceased body collection and storage services on behalf of His Majesty's Coroner. This is a Preliminary Market Engagement Notice (PMEN) only — not a formal invitation to tender — and no tender documents are available at this time. The engagement aims to inform development of the procurement strategy and service specification, gather market capability information and seek supplier feedback on proposed service requirements. In accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 this activity is solely to obtain market intelligence and supplier feedback prior to a formal procurement. A TEAMS event will take place from 3:00pm to 4:30pm on Thursday 8th October; firms wishing to attend should use the intend correspondence facility and provide email addresses of attendees so an invite can be issued.

This is most relevant to suppliers of deceased body collection and storage services (for example mortuary service providers) who can offer feedback on service requirements. Key considerations: this is only market engagement (not a tender), there are currently no tender documents, and participation requires providing attendee email addresses for the TEAMS event; outcomes will inform a later formal procurement under the Procurement Act 2023.
