The Council is seeking a supplier for the collection and disposal of abandoned tyres from three waste transfer stations at Waterbeach, March and Alconbury, including tyres delivered to those sites by district and city councils from fly-tips. Each WTS is permitted to store a maximum of 300 tyres, and collection and disposal may occasionally be required directly from fly-tip locations where large numbers (normally more than 30) have been deposited. The supplier must provide appropriate equipment, including lifting aids, and must be able to load vehicles without relying on site staff.
