HS2 Old Oak Common (OOC) is seeking a supplier to design, install and commission a standalone Building Management System (BMS) for the Euston Tunnel North Portal and OOC Tunnel South Portal buildings at Old Oak Common station. The BMS will be dedicated to the Portal MEPH systems and must be based on the HS2 Technical Standard for Shaft and Portal Building Communications and Building Management Systems (provided with the ITT pack). The system will monitor and control only assets designated in-scope by the HS2 standards, the WSP RIBA 4(ii) design and the Employer's Requirements, and will not assume responsibility for third-party systems. The portals' BMS will act as the central point for asset performance data acquisition for analytical evaluation, maintenance and testing override via access from NICC, and will use a central PLC-based control architecture with Remote I/O units at field outstations; life safety systems will have their own redundant PLCs and all RIOs will be connected in a fibre ring topology. The BMS sub-subcontractor must be suitably qualified with a proven record delivering design, installation and commissioning of complex BMS systems in a railway environment integrating mechanical, electrical, HVAC, drainage, fire and telecommunications systems.
