Royal Borough of Kingston is seeking an Architect to progress RIBA stage 1 and 2 feasibility work for the construction of a new EV depot to serve AfC SEN Transport services on the car park site at Jubilee Way, Cox Lane, Chessington. The appointment will develop the project from the Council’s existing RIBA stage 0 outputs (capacity drawings, initial cost estimate and strategic brief) to RIBA stage 2 to enable a business case and an informed decision on taking the project beyond feasibility; there is an option to extend the appointment if the Council decides to progress. The procurement is an open tender following soft market engagement, with the value of the works estimated at £300,000.00 exclusive of VAT (£360,000.00 inclusive of VAT). Key procurement dates published are: 7 September 2026 (issue tender documents), 17 September 2026 at 12:00 noon (deadline for receipt of clarification messages), 21 September 2026 at 12:00 noon (deadline for issue of clarification responses), 2 October 2026 at 12:00 noon (tender return deadline), 30 November 2026 (assessment summaries & Contract Award Notice issued) and 15 December 202 (contract signature).
