Upgrade of Theatre Lighting Rig Switches and ZerOS Control System at University of Bedfordshire

About

University Of Bedfordshire awarded a contract to Stage Electrics for the replacement of theatre mains distributed power with controllable non-dim rig switches, supply and installation of programmable lighting control panels, and additional LED compatible fixtures.

The scope included disconnecting and removing the existing mains board supplying non-dim power to 36 outgoing ways, supplying and installing a new smaller mains board, and installing two 2410 MCB Non Dim Rig switches above the stage area with extended cabling.

Additional non-dim outlets were provided: two new 16amp supplies to the dimmer room and ten new 16amp outlets in a facility panel next to the Rig Switch.

The project also involved supplying and installing a Zero 88 ZerOS 2048 channel server in the existing control room rack, connecting to the existing lighting desk, and installing button panels and ICAN stations in various locations, all cabled back to the new server.

Existing Zero 88 Gateway 8 and two Splitter 8's were replaced.

The contract included full commissioning, testing, and training, with all equipment supplied with a 1-year site warranty.

The contract value was £29,574.
