University of Warwick Awarded Contract to Develop 5th Digital Level for Standard Occupational Classification
Awarded 14 Oct 2018
About
The Office for National Statistics awarded a contract to the University of Warwick for the development of a 5th digital level for the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC), the taxonomic system used for most UK occupational statistics.
The project follows a March 2018 meeting convened by the Gatsby Foundation, which concluded that a coordinated effort was needed to incorporate more detail into the SOC beyond the existing 4-digit unit group level.
The contract value is AUD 44,544.
