About
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office awarded a contract to NIRAS Group (UK) Ltd for the implementation of Pillar 3 of the Territorios Forestales Sostenibles (TEFOS) programme.
This pillar aimed to reduce pressure in selected deforestation hotspots in Colombia through sustainable economic activities and conservation incentives.
The contract, valued at AUD 9,900,000, focused on increasing small and medium enterprise skills to produce forest-friendly commodities and services, improving market access for these products, and promoting conservation incentives such as payments for ecosystem services in PDET municipalities in Caquetá, Guaviare, northern Putumayo, and southern Meta.
