Supply of Replacement Bridleway Bridge to North Yorkshire Council
Awarded 27 May 2024
About
North Yorkshire Council awarded a contract to The Wooden Bridge Company for the design, fabrication, and supply of a replacement bridleway bridge in South Kilvington.
The original bridge was removed due to structural instability caused by river scour behind the concrete abutments, which posed a risk to public safety.
The new structure is designed to be compliant with bridleway requirements, featuring a longer span to position abutments away from the riverbank, and a wider deck with taller parapets to accommodate equestrian traffic.
The contract value was AUD 35,290.
Installation was tendered separately.
