About

Lancashire County Council awarded a contract to DeepRoot Urban Solutions Ltd for the supply of fully integrated tree pit systems for the semi-mature tree planting scheme within the Friargate North and Ringway (FNR) project in Preston.

The contract, valued at AUD 118,450.8, included technical assistance and the provision of pit construction drawings and installation instructions.

The FNR project aimed to create a pedestrian and cycle friendly space with new high-quality paving, tree planting, public seating, and areas for outdoor markets and alfresco dining.

Installation of the tree pit system and planting works was undertaken by the main contractor, Lancashire County Council (LCC) Highways, with the supplier required to work closely on details, logistics, and timing.
