About

West Berkshire Council awarded a contract to Techbuyer Ltd for the supply of ICT hosts and storage area network infrastructure.

The contract covers 10 hosts, which are large powerful server technologies that supply business application servers in a virtual environment (vmWare), allowing ICT to maximise CPU and memory use and deliver business application servers in the shortest time frames.

It also includes approximately 100TB of useable storage (Storage Array Network - SAN), a high-performance disk storage array that centralises server and application storage requirements, maximising storage use and providing additional application resilience during upgrades via clones and snapshots.

The contract value was AUD 230,845.
