About

Cheshire East Borough Council awarded a contract to Littlers Butchers Limited and Barrows Butchers for the provision of fresh meat and fresh meat products, including poultry, for use in schools and care establishments within the region.

The contract supports Cheshire East Catering's ongoing efforts to provide high-quality, healthy, and sustainable food to children in Cheshire East Schools, with a focus on achieving Silver and Gold Catermark awards from the Soil Association's Food for Life Partnership.

This includes serving a proportion of organic and free-range meat or poultry, and minimising food miles in line with the Council's Sustainability Policy.

The contract value is £924,000.
