Supply of Four Technical Rescue Units to Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service
Awarded 09 Dec 2025
About
Norfolk County Council awarded a contract to Emergency One (UK) Limited for the supply of four new Technical Rescue Units (TRUs) to replace vehicles that have reached the end of their operational life.
These TRUs are used by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service to respond to incidents requiring specialized equipment and training beyond standard firefighting, including water rescue, animal rescue, and future responses to road traffic collisions involving large vehicles.
The vehicles also tow the service's rescue boats.
The contract was awarded through a further competition under Lot 5 of the NFCC Framework 'Purchase of Emergency Response Vehicles' (Reference: DS339-20), with a contract value of £636,867.
