About

Natural England awarded a contract to BLACK WEDGE LIMITED for the supply of beach trolleys and accessories for ecosystem soils sampling surveys.

The contract, valued at £6,899, included 27 WheelEEZ Low Pressure Gauge units, 25 WheelEEZ Twist Lock Knob Beach Wheels (300mm), and 25 WheelEEZ Folding Beach Carts.

The goods were required within three weeks of the contract start date, with a preference for delivery as soon as reasonably practicable.

***Insight: This procurement supports Natural England's field survey operations, where specialized equipment like low-pressure beach wheels is critical for traversing soft terrain during soil sampling.

The contract value suggests a small-scale, niche purchase, typical for specialized survey gear."
