About

Newcastle University awarded a contract to Intelligent Imaging Innovations Ltd for the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of an upgraded spinning disk imaging system.

The system is a high-specificity spinning disk confocal microscope with a microlens disk, designed to detect very low intensity probes at super-fast imaging speeds in confocal mode while minimising photobleaching.

It will be built around an existing Leica DMRBE microscope and adapted for live imaging of C.

elegans embryos.

The contract was awarded through a further competition from Lot 2 of The APUC Supply of Microscopes and Imaging Equipment (LAB1015AP).

The contract value is AUD 75,350 and includes a minimum of 12 months warranty, with options for servicing, maintenance, and after-sales service beginning after commissioning.
