Simulation Environment, Terrain Data, and Python API for Dstl's Threat-Aware AI Services
Awarded 07 Apr 2022
About
The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory awarded a contract to Newman and Spurr Consultancy Ltd for the provision of a simulated environment, terrain data, and a Python API to support the Defence AI Centre Experimentation Hub (DAIC-X) delivery team in demonstrating AI services that control a platform with stealthy, 'threat-aware' behaviour.
The work is structured in two stages: Stage 1 provides access to the initial environment, terrain data, and Python API; Stage 2 delivers updated and refined versions.
The terrain data must include height and type of terrain, natural elements, and man-made structures to enable efficient development of AI services for later deployment in the full simulation environment.
The contract value is £64,551.19.
