About

Lambeth Council awarded a contract to Lamya Constructions Ltd for the alteration of existing scaffolding and the removal and replacement of the slate roof covering on a semi-detached property at 3 Loughborough Road, Brixton, London SW, which had been damaged by fire to the roof and first-floor elevation.

The scope included removal of damaged burnt and charred timbers from the roof void, replacement with C24 grade pre-treated timbers, installation of underfelt, replacement of lead and zinc step and cover flashings, and removal and disposal of old slates containing asbestos.

The contractor also measured, manufactured, and installed five box sash window frames with single-glazed 4mm float glass, ironmongery, draft proofing, and painting.

The property remained occupied in the basement and ground floor during works, requiring due care for residents.

The contract value was AUD 63,100.
