Review and Cleansing of CHE Memos for National Highways

About

National Highways awarded a contract to Ove Arup & Partners Ltd - SPaTS for the review and cleansing of CHE memos.

The contract involved a comprehensive review of the current CHE memo process, including roles and responsibilities around production, governance, approval, and publication, as well as its implementation across the business and communication to the supply chain.

Following the review, findings were discussed with the business and changes to improve the process were agreed upon, establishing a new process with robust governance.

A detailed review of the currency of each CHE memo was then undertaken to compile a list of memos that could be withdrawn.

The task included working with CHE memo owners to compile explanations for withdrawal, assisting them through the new governance process to gain approval, and ensuring the memos were withdrawn.

Approximately 100 of 200 CHE memos had not been withdrawn.

The contract value was £58,191.9.
