Reservation Agreements Trial for Home Buying and Selling
Awarded 19 Sep 2021
About
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities awarded a contract to Kantar Public UK Limited to resume and conclude research on reservation agreements for home buying and selling.
The contract, valued at AUD 63,066.5, covers the start of a trial of reservation agreements, following Kantar's successful completion of the first phase of research with industry and consumers.
Kantar submitted a report to MHCLG (now DLUHC) in early 2020 recommending a formal trial, which Ministers agreed to proceed with in March 2020.
The trial was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent market distortions from a stamp duty holiday.
Kantar was commissioned to continue the work for continuity.
